Mónica Faria

Mónica Faria is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, and Head of the Membranes, Chemical and Electrochemical Processes Group (MemChem) at CeFEMA. She is also the Principal Investigator of the Smart Membranes Engineering and Applications (SMEA) research group. Her research focuses on membrane science and engineering for biomedical applications, particularly artificial organs, blood purification technologies, hemocompatible materials, membrane functionalization, and transport phenomena in biological systems.
