Biljana Sljukic
Biljana Šljukić Paunković received DPhil degree in chemistry from University of Oxford in 2007. She holds the position of Researcher at the Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon since 2012 and teaching position at the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Physical Chemistry since 2000. She was also visiting academic at the University of Oxford in July/August 2008.
Biljana’s research is focused on novel material for application in electrochemistry energy conversion and storage, and she authored more than 130 papers, four book chapters and two university books with 3040 citations and h-index of 35.
Biljana is currently coordinating exploratory project in the area of metal-air batteries funded by FCT, Portugal, and she has coordinated a bilateral project Portugal-Serbia 2013/14 in the area of lithium-ion batteries. She is/was also participant of seven national projects in the area of materials for energy conversion funded by the Science Fund (PROMIS program, IDEA program)/Innovation Fund (Proof of Concept program)/Ministry of Science, Serbia, in 2001-2003 and 2008-2011, bilateral projects with Germany, Slovenia, Montenegro and India, as well as with France funded by FCT, Portugal.
Biljana is also very active in the area of science promotion so she is/has coordinated two Horizon Europe-Marie Currie Action projects European Researchers Night.
Biljana has supervised 7 defended PhD, 29 Master, 33 Undergraduate and 22 Vocational studies theses.
