João Pedro Rodrigues

João Pedro Rodrigues is a PhD student at IST, developing work on organic electroactive materials for energy storage applications.
He was born in Setúbal, Portugal, in 2000 obtained his Bachelor's degree in 2021 and his Master's degree in 2023, both in chemical engineering at IST. His Master's thesis was focused on the synthesis and electrochemical characterization of derivatives of tetrathiafulvalene for battery applications. He has participated in several science communication events, such as European Researcher's Night 2023 and IST Open Day Taguspark (2023) and Alameda (2024).
His research interests include organic electroactive materials, batteries and capacitors.
