Henrique Federico Fichera Araújo

Henrique Federico Fichera Araújo is a PhD student on the topic of electrocatalysts and membranes for use in water electrolysis technologies. He obtained his bachelor's degree in 2021 and his master's degree in 2023 with a thesis on the study of polyoxometalates (POMs) as alternative electrocatalysts for the oxygen evolution and oxygen reduction reactions. Both titles were awarded by Instituto Superior Técnico. Interested and involved in science communication events, such as the 2023 edition of the european researcher's night and Técnico open day (Taguspark), and the 2024 Técnico open day (Alameda). Research interests include electrochemistry applied for energy storage and conversion, electrocatalysts for the oxygen reduction, oxygen evolution, and hydrogen evolution reactions, and the development and use of membranes for water electrolysis applications.
